Gesher reads your project documents and drafts the report. Every figure traces to its source: document, page, line. Where the source is silent, it flags the gap for the engineer. It does not guess.
Get in touchIs it AI or software? It is software. Gesher is an application you deploy, single-tenant, in your own environment. It uses large language models through an API as one component to do the reading and the drafting. The LLM is the engine under the hood, it is not the product. The product is the pipeline around it: extract every fact with provenance, build the record, flag conflicts, draft with citations, run the citation and review checks, export. That pipeline is deterministic software with rules the model cannot break.
| Item | Stage | Description |
|---|---|---|
| P-01 | Extract | Every fact with its document, page, quote and confidence. |
| P-02 | Record | One canonical record per discipline. Engineer edits never overwritten. |
| P-03 | Conflicts | Disagreeing sources queue for the engineer. Never auto-resolved. |
| P-04 | Draft | Report prose with a citation on every value, streamed live. |
| P-05 | Verify | Citations checked against current standards. Superseded flagged. |
| P-06 | Export | Your template, document control, the sign-off chain. |
Tell Gesher what you are working on and where in Australia. It identifies the government standards, specifications and drawings that apply, then returns a verified link to the exact current document on the source's own site, checked live when you ask. The right standard, for your jurisdiction, current. Not a page of search results.

Every lookup re-checks the live source page at answer time. A document that cannot be verified is never served.
The usual assumption about AI tools is that anything you send is stored overseas and used for training. Gesher is designed the opposite way.
A single-tenant system deployed in your servers or your cloud. Your documents and the extracted record stay in your tenant. No shared data plane.
Content is sent to the model endpoint to be drafted and comes back. Zero-retention terms: not stored by the provider, never used for training.
Every fact, source, conflict resolution and engineer decision is logged. The audit trail exports with the project.
Civil engineer, 12+ years in the industry. Perth, Western Australia.
Gesher is early and it works. It is in validation with engineers and firms now. If you draft or review engineering reports, I want to hear how that part of your job actually works.
Gesher currently focuses on civil and geotechnical engineering with plans to expand. Want it to work for your discipline? Get in touch. We are always looking for discipline experts to join the team.
Designed and approved, now in build: the outline the engineer controls, photo appendices from one instruction, document revisions with proper document control.
Two minutes or two hours, either is useful.
Get in touchEvery report here is coded. Civil and geotechnical are in active validation on real projects now. The rest are built and seeking validation partners: engineers who write these reports and will help prove them. Nothing is claimed as finished until an engineer signs off the output. If you draft or review any of these, run one on a project you have already finished and tell us where it is wrong. Your data stays in your environment, every value stays cited.

Want a report that isn't here yet? Tell us. Draft or review these for a living? Help us prove them.
We are not asking for live work. Pick a project you have already finished, one where you still have the report you produced. Run its documents through Gesher, then compare its draft to yours and grade us: what we got right, what we missed, and how much time it would have saved. Because the job is done, you already hold the answer, and nothing you are still on the hook for is ever at risk. De-identified data is fine, and every value stays cited.
Vertical AI is software built for one industry's workflow, data and rules, not a general chatbot. It is the fastest-moving category in AI: single-industry companies have reached multi-billion valuations in under two years, because vertical AI does the work, not just the tooling. Gesher is vertical AI for civil engineering reports, the same playbook that built billion-dollar legal and medical AI, applied to the engineering report.
| Company | Industry | What it does | Valuation |
|---|---|---|---|
| Cursor | Software eng | AI coding agent | US$29.3B |
| Sierra | Customer service | Enterprise AI agents | ~US$15.8B |
| OpenEvidence | Healthcare | Clinical answer engine for doctors | US$12B |
| Harvey | Legal | Drafting · research · review copilot | US$11B |
| Abridge | Healthcare | Ambient medical scribe | US$5.3B |
| EvenUp | Legal · injury | Drafts cited legal demand packages from records | ~US$1B |
| Hebbia | Finance / legal | Document-analysis agents | US$700M |
Even OpenAI went vertical: in April 2026 it shipped GPT-Rosalind, its first purpose-built vertical model, for life sciences. When the lab that builds the general models starts building industry-specific ones, vertical AI is the direction of the whole field. EvenUp is the closest shape to Gesher, it reads source documents and drafts the cited written deliverable, the same model in a different profession.
The honest read: only one company drafts engineering reports at all, SchemeFlow, and it serves the UK / US planning-permission system, not Australian engineering. Everyone else automates design, does construction takeoffs, or manages contracts. Nobody drafts the Australian civil engineer's own reports against AS / NZS.
| Company | What it actually does | Is it our job? |
|---|---|---|
| SchemeFlow | Drafts planning-permission reports (transport, flood, noise, air quality, environmental). UK + US planning system. | CLOSEST but planning-consent, UK/US, not AS/NZS |
| Consigli → AECOM | Generates the design itself: layouts, MEP calcs, BIM models. | NO · it designs, doesn't write reports |
| Civils.ai | Construction quantity takeoffs + spec/code compliance checks. | NO · takeoffs & checks |
| Aldoa | Lab-data platform for geotech/materials-testing firms; drafts from its own captured data (US ASTM). | ADJACENT · builds from its lab data, not your docs |
| Trunk Tools · Document Crunch | Construction-document Q&A · contract compliance. | NO · construction admin / contracts |
Gesher owns the civil engineering report itself, end to end: read the project's own documents, research the standards that apply, draft the cited report, every value traced to a source, the engineer in control and signing. Australian, AS / NZS and road-authority native, liability-safe, and able to run sovereign in-region. The design players make drawings, not reports. The data players stop at extraction. SchemeFlow is UK planning consent. No funded company drafts the Australian civil engineer's own reports against local standards.
NEA: vertical SaaS competes for software spend (~1% of US GDP). Vertical AI competes for services spend (~13% of US GDP), because it does the work, not just the tooling.
Sequoia: ~US$10 trillion of services that software never reached. "US legal services alone are $400B, equal to the entire software market." McKinsey: generative AI could add US$2.6 to 4.4 trillion a year. The labour budget is the new software budget.
For Gesher: a report is a service deliverable, so the budget we attack is the engineer's time, not a software licence.
